Dr. Ammar Mahmoud Bangor Maine

Dr. Ammar Mahmoud

Dr. Ammar Mahmoud is a double board-certified physician in Interventional Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology.  He is a graduate of Windsor University School of Medicine. Dr. Mahmoud completed his internship and anesthesiology residency at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, IL., where he served as chief resident. He completed a multidisciplinary Pain Medicine Fellowship at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he gained expertise in advanced and cutting-edge pain therapies and served as chief fellow. 

Dr. Mahmoud authors expert content and publishes in high-impact scientific journals.  He lectures at the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience (ASPN) annual meeting, where he serves as faculty for the Poster- to- Podium physician research program and serves on the ASPN CARES cancer committee. Dr. Mahmoud is also an active member of the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS) and International Neuromodulation Society (INS).

Dr. Mahmoud is passionate about exceptional interventional pain management treatments, with a goal of providing pain relief and functional improvement.  Dr. Mahmoud cares for a wide variety of painful conditions and develops individualized treatment plans surrounding each patient’s values and goals. His goal is to develop a positive and long-lasting patient-physician relationship that is based on trust, knowledge, and advocacy. He aims to empower his patients with the necessary information to understand their pain condition, allowing them to become actively involved in managing their health.  His favorite part of being a pain management physician is helping improve his patients’ quality of life.

He is a recognized expert in the treatment of neuropathic pain, cancer pain, and diseases of the spine and joints. He offers the latest innovations in radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, dorsal root ganglion stimulation, targeted drug delivery, peripheral nerve stimulation, minimally invasive decompression, and kyphoplasty.

Dr. Mansoor Aman

Dr. Mansoor Aman

Dr. Mansoor Aman is double board certified in Interventional Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. He is a graduate of Windsor University School of Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.). Following medical school, he explored his clinical research interests at Drexel University School of Medicine focusing on minimally invasive medical device implementation in clinical applications. Dr. Aman completed his internship in General Surgery and residency in Anesthesiology at Drexel University School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident. He culminated his medical training with a fellowship in Pain Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Aman is an active member of the Wisconsin Society of Interventional Pain Physicians where he serves as the co-chair for the annual meeting, co-chair for the education committee, and is a member of the advocacy committee. He lectures at the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience (ASPN) annual meeting and serves on the cancer pain committee. He is involved with the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS), and International Neuromodulation Society (INS). Dr. Aman has authored numerous publications, textbook chapters and presented at regional, national, and international Pain Medicine meetings. He has been featured on the radio for his work on minimally invasive lumbar decompression (mild procedure), and multiple news outlets for helping his patients reduce the suffering of chronic pain using dorsal root ganglion stimulation and peripheral nerve stimulation. Dr. Aman has run a robust clinical research program studying neuromodulation in the treatment diabetic neuropathy, cancer pain, shoulder, and knee arthritis.

Dr. Aman has been serving the Fox Valley community since 2018 with a focus on spine and joint health, complex regional pain syndrome, cancer associated pain, and nerve pain. Dr. Aman is a national expert in spinal cord stimulation, dorsal root ganglion stimulation, targeted drug delivery, peripheral nerve stimulation, restorative stimulation (Reactiv8), minimally invasive decompression (mild procedure), kyphoplasty, and sacroiliac joint fusion. He has trained hundreds of pain physicians across the country on innovative therapies. Dr. Aman is an advocate for patient empowerment and offers an array of services including medication management, injections, surgery.

Dr. Vishal Patel is double board certified in Interventional Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon University, and his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He pursued specialty training in Anesthesiology at Drexel University College of Medicine, where he served as chief resident. He obtained subspecialty fellowship training in Pain Medicine at the University of Maryland.

Dr. Patel is an active member of the Wisconsin Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (WISIPP) where he serves on the education committee. He is also a member of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA), North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS), International Neuromodulation Society (INS), American Medical Association (AMA) and American Society of Pain and Neuroscience (ASPN).

Dr. Patel attends regional, national, and international Pain conferences to provide his patients with the most evidence based cutting edge innovations to alleviate pain. He is an expert in advanced spinal pain care, complex regional pain syndrome, and diabetic neuropathy. Dr. Patel offers spinal cord stimulation, dorsal root ganglion, peripheral nerve stimulation, kyphoplasty, intrathecal drug delivery, minimally invasive decompression (mild procedure), and joint fusion techniques for chronic pain. Dr. Patel has been offering compassionate care to the greater Fox Valley community for the last six years and offers a tailored approach to the needs of his patients including medications, injections, and surgery.
